If you have a dell motherboard inside that case it won't be a Z chipset so the overclocking processor is useless. Also unless its a new Dell it won't likely be Haswell Refresh and BIOS support by Dell can be sketchy so play safe and get a standard Haswell. N200 is also better than Core 1000 and for a tad more you can even get the SSD in budget.

How can I tell if my motherboard is compatible? And whats the point of an ssd besides boot time? And my current processor is an i3. Thank you for all the help, really appreciate it.

As long as you have a 4th generation i3, your motherboard will be compatible with the 4440. SSD will significantly improve speeds, not just for boot times, also load times and write speeds.
