Game Information
Release Date: April 28th, 2013
Developers: Ellen Degeneres
Publishers: Warner Bros.
Genre: Trivia

Synopsis
Heads Up! is a trivia-style party game that was recently featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. You can challenge a friend or several friends to a trivia competition. The way it works is, you pick a trivia category from one of seven themed decks of "cards." and you have to try and guess what he answer is with the help of your friends. Heads Up is like classic Charades but on a device.

Objective
The objective of the game is quite simple, while holding the cellular device to your forehead you must try and guess what the answer is without looking. When you start an answer appears on the screen and it is your friends' job to give you clues without saying a word in the answer or anything that rhymes with it. You have 1 minute to solve as many cards as you can. Once everyone has gotten a chance to go, you can compare who got how many points to see who may have won.

Gameplay
This game can get pretty intense and loud. When you have 5 people yelling at you trying to explain what the answer is, it can become a little hectic. When you download it comes with 7 different decks to choose from. But with some extra in-app purchases you can buy different themes to play. My favorite was the Adult Supervision (in-app purchased deck). Not only can you download more decks but you can also build your own deck for you and your friends to play. One of my close friends built a deck that was based on the state of Kansas. It was fun seeing who knew more about the state than others. Not only does the game get the heart and brain pumping but it also makes up for a good laugh because nothing is more funny than seeing someone struggle to answer a question that is quite simple. Another good feature about the game is that there isn't a set amount of answers to guess. You can guess as many as you like which also means that if you don't think you will be able to guess what is on the screen then you can just pass it. Passing allows for a new answer to pop up on the phone. After everyone has gotten a turn it always fun to compare and see who answered more. Also at the end of your turn it shows all the answers that were put up and it also shows the one's that you skipped.

Controls
The Controls on the game are quite simple. First you pick the deck that you would like to play. Then place the device on your forehead with the screen facing towards whoever else is playing with you. You then Wait for the time to start and for the insanity to begin. When you have guessed the answer correct you will tilt the device forward (towards people in front of you), but if you cannot figure out what the answer is you tilt it backwards (towards you). There will be picture demonstrations below for you to observe.

Graphics
The Graphics are not something extraordinary but appropriate for what the game is about. The only graphics that are essentially important to the game is when you are reading what the answer is on the device and trying to gives clues to what it is to the person who is guessing. Dont get me wrong though, the way the game is setup is perfect. A set timer, no blur and good controls is what makes the graphics and the game a very fun and addictive one.

Pros/Cons
Pros:
1. its a great way for everyone to get involved and use your head
2. it makes up for a good laugh
3. it is great for parties and family activities

Cons:
1. It's not free (at least for apple it isn't)
2. getting confused on which way is to pass or correct

Rating
Gameplay: 9.8/10
Controls: 9/10
Overall: 9.4/10
