help with alienware lcd

Hi I cracked my screen today I have alienware14 I'm trying to hook it up to a monitor but I can't see to change from LCD to monitor does anyone know the hotkeys or keystroke to do this without being able to see what I'm doing

On my laptop, I can press and hold the Windows key, then "P", and a little window comes up, that I can navigate with my keys, the options are from left to right as follows: Computer Only, Duplicate, Extend, Projector Only.
So if this works, you'd bring up this menu by holding the Windows key, and then pressing "P", since you can't see, give it a minute to load just to be safe. Then press the Right Arrow Key one time, and then hit enter, it would duplicate the monitor onto the external monitor, and then you'd use it as normal (Well... On a different screen, but still normal )
