My turtle beaches sound for the game will not work with my HDMI. I bought a Headset adapter thinking it would make me be able to hear my game through them but my Xbox 360 slim will not let me have an HDMI cord and a AV cable plugged up at the same time. The screen goes black and nothing happens. I have looked up tutorials on YouTube and the headset adapter works for them with the HDMI cord plugged in too. I don't know if I am doing something wrong but I need help ASAP!

No, the headset adapter doesn't have a notch in it.

If your TV doesn't have an audio output your going to need to use the AV cables

I have already tried that. My xbox or tv will not let me have a HDMI cord and AV cables plugged in at the same time. I cut off the notch and they are both plugged in. The screen just goes black if I switch it to HDMI.

Thanks for the help, but for some odd reason my tv goes black when I have the AV cables and the HDMI cord plugged in. I saw somebody on YouTube had this same problem but nobody knew how to fix it.

Yumtum0530 wrote I might be wrong but I don't think the 360 works with Hdmi & AV plugged in. thats why the av cable has the thing on the bottom so people don't plug both in
Not very good quality but one of them is with the AV cables the other is with the Headset adapter. The screen goes black when I have them both plugged in
