Hi there,

Ive had my pc for about two years now and i am sure it should run better than it is, getting terrible fps in games lately. I looked into it recently and it turns out that my motherboard and my Cpu do not work together, and was wondering if anyone could help me find a cheap motherboard (if that is what i need) because i am not brilliant at this kind of thing.

Specs:
Amd FX4170
GTX 750
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
8GB ram

some shots of what the bios version should be and what it is

If it POSTs, the CPU is supported by the BIOS.

What FPS and what games?

Not exactly sure where you looked into that, but they are compatible...

May just need a BIOS update.

EDIT:

Yes you're running BIOS v.F1, you need to update to v.F5a

The CPU will be under-clocked automatically when speed is not needed to save power and create less heat. Under load, it should reach 4.2 and turbo to 4.3.

It never overclocks itself though, ive checked whilst playing cpu heavy games like dayz and it doesn't shift at all.
