Is it possible to be able to host a VPN so I can watch netflix in Australia?

Yes it is indeed possible to do this. There are many tutorial's on YouTube about how to setup a VPN to work with XBOX Live, all you need to do really is run the vpn on your computer, and bridge connections from your computer to your xbox.

I'd look up American DNS settings since using a VPN on xbox live would be a lot of work just to play movies on netflix
