So I'm about to purchase my iphone 6 on Friday and I was wondering if I should jailbreak it right away, I have had my jailbroken 4s for over 2 years so I know what to do with the jailbreak. I've heard from many people that this "voids" warranty but I've brought my 4s in to the apple store for repairs while it was jailbroken and had no problems. If anyone has any input id love to hear it and maybe even send some rep your way. Thanks guys.

I'd check and see what tweaks are updated to iOS8, then go for it. It does "technically" void the warranty, but a quick restore and Apple will never know. I've seen some cool tweaks with the fingerprint scanner already, but who knows, there may be more!

Thanks for the information, and that's always true restore and they would never know. Then again they probably see hundreds of jailbreaks everyday so I doubt they care as much.

I would jailbreak it. Not any downsides. some say it slows down the device or reduces battery life but that's only caused by the user installing tweaks that require these resources. so go for it because of the customization factor.

First thing you should do when you get it out of the box is jailbreak it. Basically have a 100% success rate as there's not data etc on the phone. If you're gonna jailbreak it anyway, now's the perfect time.
