So i feel like treating myself and i want to get into abit of PC Gaming as its better than console i see that now ;)
I dont want a exspensive case so lets just get cheap and cheerful for that.
I want something that wont drop many frames on games such as Arma 3 and run Battlefield at a solid 60fps
Not much to ask for a 1000 right ?

Since it seems to be simply a gaming rig you're after, I'd get this;

i5 will be fine for gaming, as will 8GB RAM. You have room to add a 2nd 970 in SLI if you wish. You could build a similar PC with the same performance for less, if you wish and some extra money has gone towards aesthetics for this rig, such as a modular PSU and a colour matching black/white them throughout. You don't have to do this, but it's worth it IMHO.
