i dont know what to get and if it will fit i just had one and it wast compatable i have this pc [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

with a new powersource and graphics card and dual monitors and i just need a list of better reconmened processors at different prices

I'm gonna assume you mean processor? Anyways what was in there previously was an AMD Athlon x2 250 so that means it's an AM3 socket type.. What is your price range so I can tell you what you should get? The most expensive can go all the way up to $178 and down to like $40....

These are the supported processors for your motherboard. None are particulary appealing as they will cost more than they did when they were current due to rarity now. If you can ebay one for cheap then why not.

Personally I'd go for the x4 860k, and when you can get a new PSU, and a new GPU, then you'd be better suited for gaming.

It won't fit, his motherboard needs an AM3 processor, the 860K is FM2+
