Not once did I say OP should illegally download an OS, you don't have to do so to get it for free. In fat, Microsoft have the .ISO download for Windows on their own website. Torrenting isn't illegal anyway.

No, you didn't only state that. You said that OP would have to spend money an OS, which he doesn't, that is spreading false information. As I've said, Windows can be obtained for free, and Linux is a free OS.
