I am looking for anyone with Oculus Rift programming experience to help me with a new project I just started. I don't want to say too much right now because it is just in the very beginning steps (and due to the fact that if you help me, you will need to sign an NDA). All I want to say is that I am looking in to developing a new type of social network. If you have any Oculus Rift or VR web development experience, please PM me. Thanks.

It isn't as simple as knowing "Oculus Rift programming". You need to get in contact with someone who has a development kit for one. That is the key. Also the fact that you are making your partner sign a None Disclosure Agreement for the beginnings of an idea that is based around VR is kinda sketchy.

Simply put, the volume for a VR social media site isn't there. Not people that own a Rift a youtubers and other indie devs. If you were to make the site or application open source, then you would get a lot more help on it. The Oculus Rift is a bit a head of its time. I made for around $200 (open source plans), and haven't used it much. It's fun for a little bit, then it just becomes annoying.

I think this Idea will be a decent one, but if you make it open source, perhaps even an extension of a current social media site eg. Twitter, Face Book, ect. Then you may be able to get that site behind you. This is just the approach I would take on it. The facebook API is widely available for people to use, same for google.
