Good question StudgeMan!

We ask for k/d because we want good players who are also team players.

We don't want people who have low or minus K/D as this tends to mean they aren't very good. Some exceptions can be made if they are tactical and play well in a team but negative K/D is a problem because it gives the other earn kill streeks.
