I have an iphone 4 and it says no sim. Its a CDMA iphone and it doesn't have a sim. Support said they fixed it then hung up. Apple said they need a serial number but I can't get it without unlocking my phone and I can't. Any ideas ? I've restored it multiple times and it still won't work.
EDIT
Theres a problem with your carrier update. Contact apple and they just be able to fix it if you tell them its a carrier update problem.

Never seen that. Especially on CDMA. well i'd try jailbreaking seeing as that bypasses it on the iphone 3gs.

I'm pretty sure the serial comes up when you connect your phone to iTunes via a computer? Don't quote me on that I may be wrong I'm not sure. Its worth a try though.

It does have a sim card.... its on the side of your phone. it has a tiny hole and looks like an smashed oval. should be on the right hand side of the phone if you look at it. This is where your sim card is located.

If it's the 4 there isn't a spot on the phone to easily access it, on on the 4S and on

YOU'RE NOT ALONE!!! Nothing you can do will work. BTW, the Apple rep doesn't need your serial, all he needs is your MEID number which is on the back of the phone, furthermore it can be found on the first screen that says HELLO slide to set up. at the bottom right hand corner there is a small, blue information symbol. That shows your MEID number as well, but don't bother.
