Just post your issue here. That's what the forums are for. Any misinformation given can be corrected by another user, whereas on Skype, it wouldn't be corrected. You're looking for an upgrade, right? If so, download Speccy and post a screenshot of your current specs. List your case and PSU, make and model as well as your Speccy screenshot. Give us your full budget and your currency for these upgrades.

Ugh, pre-built. You can't do much. You'll need a case and PSU upgrade asap. Then I'd upgrade the monitor tbh, it's 2015, you should be on at least 1080p. Then you can focus on a GPU upgrade. Finally, you could add an SSD. The HDD and RAM is fine, and the mobo will do.

Make sure the motherboard is mATX first to make sure it's compatible with the case. Choose either the monitor or GPU and get one of them with the case and PSU, then get the other when you can.

PSU and case upgrade won't make your PC any better performance wise, but it's an essential before upgrading the rest of your components. The monitor won't make your PC perform any better either, but it has a higher resolution, and is a better monitor. The GPU will give a significant performance increase in gaming.

You never specified, thought I'd make sure you were aware, just in case. Like I said, GPU will give you a significant performance increase.

Are all the upgrades compatible with one another?
and I know the GPU will significantly help but I wanted to know if it is the best choice in the price range etc.

Yes. R9 280 is your best choice for your budget at this point. If you were to get PSU, case and monitor now, and upgrade GPU later, you may be able to get a better GPU if you were to save enough, but the 280 will be fine for 1080p gaming.
