This doesn't exactly relate, but it took me 100 wins before I got out of silver 2

It isn't how many wins you have more how well you play and your score/about of mvp stars you get per game

Your rank isn't based on wins, it's based on how many MVPs you get and how well you do performance-wise during every single game. Valve hasn't released it, but there is an algorithm to calculating your rank, and one of the huge factors that plays into it is the amount of MVPs you get each game. If you want to rank up faster I would suggest finding someone who is GN1 or higher and just queue with them for a while. Make sure they give you the bomb to plant at every time possible so you get the most MVPs.

Try and team up with a couple of people who have microphones and are decent for a silver and doing so should give you loads of wins and if your lucky you should get a lot of wins in a row and that would make you rank up. The ranking up system hasn't really been confirmed on how it works but from other peoples knowledge you need to get lots of MVPs, Win Rounds and win lots of games in a row without loses.

Like 60% of the time I carry and get the most MVP's. But whenever I get a group together We always get placed with smurfs...
