However a game like Fifa is thoroughly saturated as the "go to" for soccer games. No matter how good another game is it'll never take over Fifa. It's still the best game out there. And no matter how good another one is, it'll never take fifa's place. You're also going to need much more than the supposed "7 or 8 figures" you have.
No,I'm not a troll. As for your believe in Fifa being impossible to move from the top spot, the only reason why you could think that is because you aren't looking at the football simulation gaming niche critically which causes you to ignore important facts. You are speaking as a consumer instead of an entrepreneur. Apparently you just can't imagine a scenario in which Fifa would lose. I not only can but also have a pretty good idea how to make it happen. But no matter what, this is still a considerable undertaking and there is no way I can tackle it by myself. That's why I'm here (and on other forums and websites) looking for help.
Okay using pretentious remarks and regarding yourself as an "entrepreneur" doesn't make your points valid. I go to Cornell university buddy. I am surrounded by kids that think it's easier to make a job than getting your own. And these are kids with unparalleled genius and very copious bankrolls. From a realistic point of view. This isn't going to happen. This would take such a ridiculous amount of publicity and connections. You'd have to get the rift to the players. Which would involve amazing lawyers. You'd have to get engineers, physicists to help with the actual movement of the players. You'd have to get designers. You'd have to set up a huge server which would require pretty much 24/7 support(if you're serious about passing ea's version). You'd have to come up with original ideas. You'd have to convince players to step out of their comfort zone which in all honesty will probably be the hardest thing to do.
All in all, I don't see this as an achievable task. Not in 3 years and not in 10. I don't care who it is trying to do it. And just another point. If you're so serious about this and have such limited time to do so. Then what're you doing in a website like this asking for help? And it's not so much the website itself, but the section specifically? These are just Fifa fanatics that come here to talk about the game we all love. Not a forum about video game designing and euntrepenuership.
I commend your ambitions. But I suggest you don't go through with this because with the unlikely scenario that you do have all these plans and capita and you do plan on rolling with this. You're going to lose it all bud.

Stating you go to Cornell does not make your opinion any more credible than that of someone who doesn't. Besides, people going to Cambridge/Oxford over in the UK are the same and are (according to sources) at 2nd and 5th best universities in the world and I'm sure many of them have ideas on a different spectrum about beating other companies in retrospective industries.
Sorry if you feel offended by my post, it just irked me that you seem to believe you're a more credible character in the debate due to your social standing

Okay, so I've decided, rather than just jumping to the 'this is unrealistic' and 'you'll never make it' remarks without giving you grounds on why I say this, if you are serious, you deserve to hear why.
Why do you think certain companies monopolise markets from the day they establish themselves either indefinitely or until the CEO at the time decides to pack up. It is because they entered that particular market at the right time, and managed to gain enough profit early on to develop their product enough to surpass the rest of its competition, and drown out the rest of the market.
At the moment, the gaming market is a monopolistic market. There may be quite a few different successful game developers such as Valve/Ubisoft/Activision/EA, but you need to look at each market in their own sub genres, i.e. sports games are a market in their own right, and are completely dominated by EA. They have now been head and shoulders above the rest long enough that they have gained the revenue to, as MacMiller says, hire teams of staff to completely refine every aspect of the game, on top of worldwide online servers and state of the art technology to recreate a player's likeness in-game.
The reason that EA will unfortunately be top-dog until they decide to pack up, is that no-one has the same resources that they have, because they have gone so long with no competition. On top of the fact that they have already established themselves as an organisation that can create a great football simulation game. Meaning the familiarity will drive people to purchase their game over others'.
Lastly, you have possibly picked THE worst type of game to try and compete against, as sports games are a very one dimensional concept. There is very little room to change up how they are played, this isn't like an FPS or a MMORPG where there is a lot of room for new/innovative ideas, which may appeal to users over a game that has a load of money chucked at it. Where-as, as I've just mentioned, people buy Fifa to play some virtual football, its as simple as that.

I would like to apologize to Senate and wowsoMEW for not jumping on their discussion sooner but thetechgame isn't the only avenue I'm sharing this post on so I'm constantly responding to messages on other places. Let me begin by addressing what wowsoMEW is saying for the moment.

As he said, its a monopolistic market and its dominated by one provider EA. Its not a Niche market or a missing market because everybody plays FIFA (Besides the odd PES fans) Your determination is commendable, but frankly its never gonna happen. Even if you ever had reasonable success EA would come down hard on you with copy right laws or they would buy you out, I bet thats happened before.
A comparison for you is social networks. Zuckerberg entered the market at the perfect time, barely any if no competition, then as other companies develop i.e instagram, Facebook will offer them an unimaginable offer that cannot be turned down. CEO's etc of big businesses don't mess around, why do you think there has been no serious competition to EA before? Even PES aren't close, they came to the market not long after EA, yet they still can't get full licensing for their game or anything. If PES had full licensing and FIFA had north london red, would we be playing PES? possibly so, but the point is EA would NEVER let PES get near them or beat them to licensing. Simple.
