I need to reset my iPhone 4 (7.1.2) as there is a software issue which means the camera will not focus, I have already backed up my photos to readd (as I need to restore as new phone) but cannot find a way to save texts which can later be readded to the phone
Please help

You could always just screenshot the messages that you absolutely need.

*cough* Especially messages needed for blackmailing purposes.

If you perform a full backup, it should automatically save.

If you backup the phone before you restore it the messages should of been saved. Just screenshot them if your that worried about loosing them

You just have to make a backup of your device on your computer.

You may also be able to save them to the iCloud.

Back it up via iTunes.

When you later restore it from that backup, your messages will also be recovered.
