In my opinion, PC is the best for gaming. I play console because I have more friends on it & I am currently saving up to build a gaming PC.

I've played both and I just prefer PC gaming.
Mods, better graphics, PC exclusive games, and I just prefer a mouse and keyboard over a controller.

PC Gaming:
Pros: Larger communities, more variety of games, better FPS/resolution.
Cons: More expensive, takes some know how to get everything set up, and doesn't give you the same feeling as sitting around a TV with a bunch of friends and an Xbox.
Console Gaming:
Pros: Cheaper than PC, makes for a more fun experience when friends are around, more family orientated, etc
Cons: Not a great as PC in graphics, FPS, resolution, etc

Thanks to recent sales/prices you can build a better PC for cheaper than the list price of the xbox one.

You're correct, sitting down in a chair rather than laying on a bed is different, but with BigPicture for Steam you can still get that feeling.

Games are SOOOOOO much cheaper. I personally own 155 Games on Steam 5 on Origin, and 2 on Uplay.
All of which I bought for less than 60$. Some big name titles :
FarCry4, Evolve, BF4, BFH, Tomb Raider, All the Bioshocks, All of the CoDs All of the Elder Scrolls, All the Fallouts, and a bunch of PC Exclusives.

I'm not bragging. I'm a poor College Student. I have to scrap by just to Coffee everyday.
The Summer Sale, and the Xmas Sale are amazing, you can go from 1Game to 50+ without spending over 200$ it's CRAZY.

And Trust me, I was a console player for 6years. Paying 60$ PER GAME + Live + DLC. I went broke.
Build my first PC for 400$, it outplayed the Xbox360 so easily...
Got a job, built my 2nd PC for 1200$ It outplays the Xbox One so easily...
Built my 3rd PC for 2000$ mainly re-using my old parts it outplays my old PC so easily...

PC Gaming is NOT EXPENSIVE by any means.

Seriously, look into it. You can build a PC for 400$ and it will be 100% better than the Xbox One and PS4.
If you need help in what to look for, there's amazing people like Sanctyy in the PC building forum who knows what he's talking about.

Look into it, you will not be disappointed.

I would go console without a doubt.I have had ps3 and 360 as well as next gen consoles but now that I have my pc I don't touch them. You can get games way cheaper than they normally are via steam sales or sites like g2a.

Both have their pros and cons.
For me, it'd have to be PC. It has more of a variety of games to play (for me, its like from Binding of Isaac, to CSGO).
Console is also good though, because its where I can socialize a bit more with my friends.
Id say about 60/40 PC.
