There's not really much to say in regards to tips unless you're asking in regards to hardware tweaks to get an upper hand (FPS wise).
In any case:
1. Learn how all of the guns work (how they shoot, how fast, what the recoil is like, where to pull the gun when you gain heavy recoil, etc).
2. Get used to quick switching weapons, crouching, walking, SOUNDS, this game deals greatly with clutch situations and your ability to take a shot with better accuracy before another play tags you with a round or four.
3. Skins and guns come over time, unless you want to spend money on the Steam market to purchase them.

Watch a few aiming tutorials on YouTube first.
Play a lot of deathmatch to get used to how each weapon performs, I wouldn't advise playing competitive until you are least 50+ hours into the game. Otherwise you'll just get a bad placement and be stuck with it.
