when it says 3mb cache does that also run on something that needs a L2 cache ??? help

I don't get your question, could you explain it better?

CPU caching is quite complex but the basics of it is that when the CPU needs to access data, it sometimes stores it in the cache which, depending on what level, vary in sizes.

L1 is relatively small since the data that is in there will probably get used by the CPU very soon.

L2 is bigger, but slower and so on.
