Well my modem has never given off amazing internet and could not handle me, and my siblings so we bought a modem to hopefully help and it has not gone well. A friend of my brothers said we need to disable the internet on the modem and only use the router but i do not know how to "disable" the modem in the internet settings. Any help is appreciated..

I apologize, it was sort of hard to explain it.
Thank you though, I appreciate it.

Affiliate wrote There really isn't a way to disable just your modem, you would need to run off your modem and router. If you would want to run off just your router that wouldn't be possible, you can call your Internet Server Provider and have them set it up so it runs just off your modem. Other then that, I don't think there's anything you can really do.
I hope I helped.
Not sure what you mean but i do appreciate your time, thanks mate. Repped
