Good stuff
1) Celicas are decent cars and can be cool (1974 celica was amazing)
2) slow, depends on what year and what spec. My mom has the 1.8 VVTLI and when the variable valves come into play (around 3.5K revs) it goes like the clappers (3rd gear)
3) comfortable
4) cheaper parts compared to other cars
Not so good
front bumper is shit because if you bump something it usually ends up breaking other stuff...
depreciating like a boss
FWD :/
lacking in low end power/torque
They are decent cars however as mentioned above, mainly for women. if it were me, I would be looking elsewhere tbh because once you get one, it starts to feel slow after a little while depending on how you drive.

My dad has a newer version of the eclipse and people say it looks like stripper car, so compare.

SubieFlow wrote Wondering if I should get one and what possible problems they can haveOverall not the best 2dr economy compact on the market. Definitely discontinued in '06 for a reason. Speaking of age, at best you'd be buying a 9 year old car which is a bit old to be honest. Anyways, they do weigh very little (2400lbs I think) but they are slow and the VVT-i gives it a bad droning sound on the highway. Surprisingly they do run for a long time - every single one I see for sale has 160-200k miles and seem to be in fine running condition. Let's not forget- its a Toyota. Sure I wouldn't choose it over a Civic or Integra. It'll run forever though, and won't give you insane maintenance costs unless you blast away its head gaskets by tormenting the motor. If you can find one with (somehow) under 100k for $4000-6500 in decent condition I'd go for it. Just strongly consider your alternatives.

are you just spamming to get post? the post right below this one was for an rx8; then you jump to a pos celica which tells me you really dont know what to look for why dont you try to search a few cars for yourself. ie do you want front wheel drive or rear wheel or all wheel? do you want a stick or an auto? do you want performance or economy? do you want 2 door or 4door? these are all questions you need to answer for yourself before we can really help you
