I plan on building my own gaming pc towards Labor Day. Check out my pcpartpicker link and tell me what you think. I am open to any suggestions or changes. I go back and forth on whether I want a network card or just a usb adapter. I would love to stick with an AMD build but if someone could convince me to go Intel I would consider it. I love the GTX 960, I'll most likely keep that or when the 960 Ti comes out I will switch to that. I love the case, very roomy and good for air flow, plus the side panel gives an extra effect. If anyone knows a better monitor for around that price please post the link. I'm not looking for a keyboard and mouse to last years, I just want something to last me a little bit or until I save more money and get a mechanical keyboard. Let me know what you guys think, thanks for you time!

You've posted the URL. You need to post the permalink which will be on the left hand side of your parts list. AMD is a big no since AM3+ is a dead socket and the only reason to go with AMD would be for an FM2+ APU which doesn't belong on a $1k rig anyway. GTX 960 is pretty low end for your budget, you could easily fit a 970 into a rig with that budget.

Thanks, I just realized that haha. Could you make one and post the link so I could see what you would put in a budget like this including peripherals, monitor and OS?

My internet is shit and I'm car shopping so this isn't great, but you could get something like this;

Add an SSD when you can. Get any cheap kb+mouse combo for now. If you need, drop the 2TB HDD for a 1TB HDD. You can add an aftermarket cooler when you want and you can overclock the 4690k. If you're not going to OC, save some money and get a 4440 with a B85 mobo instead.
