Well I have seen people use the Oculus before and it looked like a lot of fun. I see next gen gaming getting quite crazy with these kind of devices enhancing the experience.

Exactly.. The current gadget trend is growing. Only missing thing I want to try is Immersive feedback.

I have access to an Oculus and a couple pairs of Google Glass.
They are both really cool when you first get to use them, especially the Oculus.
But there are a lot of downsides also.

Google Glass:
+Watch movies, take pictures/video
+Fruit Ninja (knock off, forgot what it's called)
+Browse web (not fun without mouse, not the best tracking yet)
-Gets hot
-Battery runs out fast
-Loses it's initial awe factor really quickly after you see how it really isn't that useful except for a POV camera.

Oculus:
+Games in 3D (really awsome) (Mirror's Edge)
+Head tracks reasonably well
-Not many games support it yet (the game that I found to work best is Strike Suit Zero)
-Get motion sick really fast
-Very low resolution screen (you can see individual pixels really easily)

That's some great review.. how about including some haptic feedback in gaming? we have always wanted to add some immersion in gaming. Like dual shocks were introduced in controllers, those were some basic immersive experience..
