No. 3G is provided through your service provider. There is no way to get around paying for your cellular data.

A few years ago when I had a Blackberry, my provider had a special promotion where
we got to use BBM for free for a whole month even when BBM wasn't apart of the plan.

What happened was that I got access to the internet, too. Not just BBM.

That means for the whole month, I got free 3G data.

So I guess the only way to get "free 3G" is if your service provider messes up.

Other than that, you can't get it for free.

In short, the answer that you are looking for is no.

The one and only way for you to get "free" 3G is to hack into a cell tower and gain un-assigned access to their network which they can and will return a lawsuit for and you will serve jail-time. Plus, that is a super hard process that I or you do not understand I am sure.
