I don't wanna spend a lot of money on doing this.
All I want is to have a server just for me and a friends not a big server like factions or nothing

It depends what kind of server you want.
You can easily set up a vanilla server from Minecraft.net by downloading the executable (If on Windows) and running it.
You will need to port forward though, I would look into that first and make sure you are able to do so before going through the process of creating a private server.
As you said you don't want it to be "expensive", you can easily pay a few dollars for a private server hosted by a company.

Here is a another link for really good server Host. I would recommend Mcprohosting. The Prices are cheap and the Staff are always there to help you.
