So someone sent me a file with password access seen as he didn't want to go first, I then sent him a game and he said he is going to be back online on Thursday next week due to spring break, Is there anyway I can get the password for this file before then or do I have to wait?

There is software on the internet that can supposedly "crack" the password of .rar archives but whether or not they can, I don't know.

Why didn't you just ask for the password when you were being sent the file?

I didn't know he had made a password till after he sent it, And I've had one on for 6 hours now and its still trying to crack haha. And the guy had to go before we started the trade but hasn't deleted me from facebook or anything so I don't think I've been scammed.

You could try some of the brute force programs out there but its highly doubtful whether they will work or even if it does work, the compute power to go through every single possible password would just max out your PC for several days/weeks. Not worth it.
