Ive been doing some quotes on go compare. As I'm 19 I think the insurance is lower than most peoples first as im two years older than I should be for a first car.

All of the cars I've liked I ran them through a quote and they all came up at £1500 give or take £100.

Not to bad considering my friends (17) first insurance for a 1 litre corsa was £2500

Yeah, when I pass my insurance goes from 37 per month to 250 - 300 per month.

Its horrible being a new driver in the UK.

Tbh I have a Renault Clio and a VW Up, the VW is far newer (14 plate) with the Clio being an 08 plate. Admittedly, the Up is a far better drive, however, we've had that Clio circulating my family for 6-7 years now and haven't come across a single issue, so really was decent for its price.

I agree with these guys that if you go with a Seat or a VW you won't be disappointed as my dream first cars would've been a Seat Ibiza or VW Polo, but just thought I should weigh in that Clios are not bad cars at all, and the new model looks far nicer than mine did as an added bonus.
