Look up some videos and learn the spots, but start on Dust 2 first, once you get the game moved onto the more advanced maps like Mirage, Inferno, etc.

I would actually recommend the opposite & stay away from Dust2 for a while, Dust2 is just filled with Smurfs, he'll just get his ass kicked & won't enjoy Competitive at all, giving him the wrong impression.

OP - If you're unsure what a smurf in CSGO is, It's basically when a higher skilled player gets a lower competitive rank on purpose, to play against lower skilled players.

I played comp. ran into a hacker in my first game. He was on my team but it was actually worse as he was getting all the kills second game I placed 4th though 4killss 5deaths

You'll get better eventually. 4 kills 5 deaths isn't very good if you want to rank up. I average from 20-30 kills most games. You'll get there.

I played again last night with lowered DPI as I had my mouse on 3500 :/ made a massive difference to my accuracy. I'm getting like 15/16 kills now XD
