It is extremely difficult for us to tell you if it is a good idea or not because we don't know how you would treat it, how old you are, what your financial situation is, etc.

I wouldn't get it for a multitude of reasons. One being it is not 4x4 and WAY to close to the ground. Mind you I am a truck guy so I couldn't get a 2x4 lol, that and I'm 6' 280 so getting in that car for me is probably pretty hard.

Insurance will more than likely be extremely expensive.

Repairs will be expensive, say good bye to the 100 dollar break job, expect to pay a premium because you have a Porsche and "can probably afford this price".

People will always park next to you and possibly scratch or dent your car.

That car (at least around here) will be a cop magnet. If you go 2 mph over the speed limit I am willing to say the cops around here would pull you over.

I also don't know where you live, if you get snow or a lot of rain it would not be a good idea. At only 3k lbs I do not see where that car will get very much traction past 40 mph (this is where you kids will quote me and put a bunch of numbers and show me just how wrong I am lol).

This guy has some knowledge on what people do to people in Porsche's.

I love the aesthetics of Porsche cars, and this one is no exception. It looks beautiful and fast even when stationary!

However, as I live in the UK I would not buy this car. It would cost a fortune to run on that MPG. If I lived in the states where fuel is cheaper then i'd buy a thirsty and powerful car like that.

Okay, be serious. Can you afford: insurance, VEHICLE PARTS; if something breaks, it's a porsche so the parts will NOT come cheap at all. Gas (what if gas prices rise?)

Main thing is if something breaks, you might end up paying thousands for it, just because it's a porsche.

Yeah it will look cool and people will turn and look but think about it money wise.

I'm in the same position but the car I want doesn't car as much and parts for it aren't' that much either.

Seriously think about your income first off and check the prices for parts on it.

I don't know unless it's a really good price I wouldn't get it. IMO these are chick cars. Don't take that offensive but every person I've seen driving these are usually chicks or older guys. But it's what you think of the car that matters.

My grandpa recently sold his 2004 Porsche Boxster because it was his "weekend car". He had lots of fun in it but everytime you need an oil change it costs $500 because they have to drop the engine to get to the oil. they are fun but they definitely arnt for poor people maintenance gets high on them fast.
