Okay, today I'll be showing you how to sign on to PSN even when the servers are down, it's simply!
Text Tutorial:

1. Go to the Dashboard.
2. Click up on the D-Pad.
3. Click right on the D-Pad until you see Settings, click on it.
4. Scroll down and click on Network.
5. Click on Set Up Internet Connection.
6. Choose WiFi or LAN; LAN if you have an Ethernet cord connected to your system.
7. Choose Custom.
8. Select your network; enter password if prompted.
9. For IP Address Settings click Automatic.
10. For MTU Settings click Manual and enter 1470 instead of 1500.
11. For Proxy Server click "Do Not Use".
12. Test your Internet Connection.
13. Sign into PSN!
