For about a month now I have been having issues with the audio and static coming from my desktop. When I have my speakers plugged in directly to the sound card, that is when it occurs. Now when I plug my speakers into the audio jack that is build directly into the computer case it is significantly reduced. I have to turn the volume on the speakers up to 100% to just barely hear the static. Where as when I have it plugged into my sound card I hear nothing but the static when the volume is at 30% or more.
At first I thought it was my sound card and that I should buy a new one. Then when I checked more into it, I noticed that I am having what is called DPC latency issues. Something is taking too long to process and because of that, the static occurs. I have been looking around for a long time now and trying different tutorials on how to figure out what is causing the DPC latency but I have not had any luck.
Any info you guys can give or maybe even help solve my problem would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Here is what my desktop consists of. Not sure if this will be any help but thought I should throw it up here. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Are the speakers/default audio device set to the same audio channel as the sound card?
That could be causing the issue.
Also you could try a static discharge with your motherboard (Unplug any external devices, Shut down the PC then disconnect it from the wall socket. Now hold the power button for 30 seconds. Boot up your computer normally)
Let me know if these work for you.
