Hi Guys,
Had this issue a few months ago with the PS4, and whenever a disk was inserted, it would make repeating ticking noises, then the eject noise, and repeat this until it said 'Unrecognised Disk'. Now I read tonnes of fixes, such as rebuild database, scratched disk, and the rubber bit underneath, none of them worked. What the issue was was that the manual eject screw was a tad loose, so the disk was not aligning correctly.. I adjusted this, and it worked..
3 Months later, the issue is back, and now even tightening the screw wont fix this! My PS4 is out of warranty, and I'm out of ideas..
Anyone have any potential fixes?

You could buy extended warranty and then send it in for repair or replacement.

Thanks for the response, unfortunately here in the UK, we dont have the luxury of extended warranty!
For anyone viewing this in the future, this fixed my issue: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Just make sure you watch the WHOLE video, some important images at the very end...

Sell the PS4 on eBay. Someone who knows what they are doing will buy it and fix it. You may be able to sell this for a good price! After you have buy a new PS4.
