If I were selling it on, I'd expect around $500 or so for it, in decent condition. Are you selling it to build a new rig? If so, that's definitely not worth it. Just upgrade the system and sell whatever you upgrade to make some of your money back.

I feel sorry for you.

You can definitely stick with that and upgrade it though.

Your CPU is fine. You have no logical upgrades without a motherboard upgrade, but it'll be fine. Your next logical CPU/mobo upgrade would be something like Skylake or Cannonlake IMHO. This will likely mean a RAM upgrade to DDR4 as well though, at the same time so keep that in mind. 280x is a perfectly good card for maxing a single 1080p panel. There's no real need for an upgrade unless you're using more than single 1080p panel. I'd upgrade that case asap. PSU is fine. I'd also upgrade the cooler. What you have is great for it's price, but 120/140mm AIOs are pretty mediocre. I'd be dropping an SSD into that rig as well, and maybe another HDD if you're going to benefit from it.

So, other than case, storage and potentially cooler, your rig is fine.
