It probably has something to do with the way they were brought up in earlier ages of their life. Another thing might be the people they hang out with may not enjoy or like it. Lastly they could have been introduced to the wrong anime or at the wrong time.

Most of my friends here don't watch anime, one of the many shit things about living in North Carolina. Although I can't blame them entirely because as a kid my brother was who introduced me to anime.

It would seem anything that falls outside of the social norm these people desperately cling too, is branded as weird.

Granted, I do find some people take it a bit too far.

Hmm i think girls would get really jealous over anime. Because the guys would be stuck into anime or i can say, guys like anime girls more than real life ones. Thats my opinion.
