It really depends on the girl. I mean, I'm a female anime viewer and I happen to love anime. I do tend to stay away from anime with tons of...let's just call them fanservice.

My favorite anime is Fairy Tail though and that show sometimes love its fanservice.

It just depends. Anime is weird and people have preferences. That's how it is.

I mean, Fairy Tail doesn't really have downright fan service, like ok they have a few episodes where the girls have a bikini contest and that kind of stuff but nothing on the level of HOTD, DxD, or Sekirei level fan service.

I mean, it's not just girls. It really depends on the person.
I found that most people don't like it just because it's different or "childish" due to the fact that it's animated/cartoon-like.

Personally, I like anime & I'm a female. It just depends on the viewer's interest. I wouldn't say it's a gender thing haha.
