I always buy mine online from steam, g2a, or g2play/kinguin. I've saved a ridiculous amount of money from all the sales. I know a kot of people would prefer physical copies, but with the amount of games I have I just wouldn't have anywhere to put them.

Our equivalent to Gamestop in Australia would be EB Games, so that would be mine but games are usually cheaper at Target and Kmart, I only go to EB Games for collectors ed games or stuff only available there.

If it is a new game that I am after I will go in to town and purchase it from GAME as they usually offer a good deal in terms of bonus content, especially at midnight releases. I do this opposed to purchasing via online retailers as it means I can receive the game straight away opposed to waiting a few days for it to arrive via mail. If I am wanting to purchase a somewhat older game, then I will most likely do so via online retailers as they provide a better deal for these (Sold new at a cheaper price (Usually what GAME sell a pre-owned version of the same game)).
I will also purchase games off of the Xbox Marketplace (Yes I know, shit internet but you know, yolo!) when there are very good deals on offer, for example the last games I purchased via the Marketplace was Titanfall + Season Pass (All DLC) for £10 and Need For Speed: Rivals + Season Pass (All DLC) for £13. However, as games for the Xbox One are large in size, I do have to take that in to consideration as I have yet to purchase an External HDD for my console and I am down to 99GB storage on it, that being said, I can simply delete the game that I've completed.

In regards to store incentives such as loyalty programs, on the outside they seem great, but you're only earning like 1-2% back on your purchases, it is beneficial for those who often purchase games, but it doesn't really make any difference to the casual gamers.

At the end of the day, I think people simply purchase from where ever is cheapest for them at the time of purchase.

as a PC gamer i tend to get games off steam. if its a AAA title that will be pricey then i get it off CDKeys or Kinguin to get them a bit cheaper. Do miss going to Games Exchange / Pink Planet etc.

I try to avoid hard copies of games anymore. Last one i got was Battlefield 3 i think. Discs get scratched, downloads do not. I suppose the decision depends on your internet package to. Some people don't or even can't download full games due to bandwidth restrictions. I'd be happier paying more for a digital version, due to the fact it's hard to lose.

I tend to order off of amazon mainly because I have prime and so shipping and such is normally free if I can get it from the right vendor. Also, prices are usually much cheaper .

I like to purchase my games on eBay, you can find games for a lot cheaper on there and it's usually free shipping, may take a couple of days to arrive but it's worth it if you're getting a better price.

I shop wherever the price is cheapest. If the prices are the same I'll purchase from a store as the download files on games are stupidly big.

Personally it's either Amazon or Game! (UK Store)
