Right now, i do things around the house. Like 60 pushups a day, sit-ups, squat thrusts, etc.
Btw, I am 15 and started going at 13. No age is really a "good" age to start. If you keep asking yourself that, you'll never know when it's good to start :p
Wish I started earlier than I did and I started at 16 lol.
Some people's bodies are obviously more capable than others, but I believe you can start whenever you want as long as its sensible and you aren't hurting yourself.

I tend to do
Mon - Chest/Triceps
Tue - Back/Biceps
Wed - Shoulders
Thur - Arms
Fri - Legs
I try to put abs in there, 30 minutes or so 3x a week.
