Oh so bad. AM3+ is a dead socket. $150 should get you an R9 270 which out-performs the GTX 750Ti. Sound card is completely unnecessary. Case and PSU are terrible.

What is your full budget and what will the system be used for?

That's what I thought was my first build and the console is going to be used for mostly racing games and maybe the odd battlefield, first person shooter please feel free to give me a great build for under 500$ or 5-10$ over

Experienced, Did some 11 year old kid recommend you these parts?

- cpu is on dead socket, outdated and waste of moeny
- 750ti has poor performance for its price
- case is poor quality
- power supply is poor quality
- sound card is not needed, theres on integrated into the motherboard.

Get the r9 285 over the 750ti, heres some benchmarks for you to compare, u can see the performance difference is quite big. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Buy yourself this instead, Will perform ALOT better and you will be able to upgrade to a i5 or even intels next gen of cpus which get released later this without having to replace the motherboard. My build will be able to max out most games at 1080p whereas yours could play on medium/high.

I'm not 100% sure but as far as I'm aware Broadwell compatibility has not been confirmed and I'm almost certain that Z97 is the only chipset that will support a Broadwell upgrade without a new motherboard so don't get your hopes up on the H81 board supporting something like a 5th gen i5/i7/Xeon. Since your original build was $550 before rebates, I'm going to assume you're budget is $500 after rebates, give or take $10?

I usually recommend the 285 over a 280 but in this case, I think you'd be better with the 280. It'll still max the majority of games at 1080p easily, you might need to OC a bit but tbh, everyone should be overclocking their GPU(s). Better chipset but still limited in RAM upgradability by the lack of DIMM slots, the board only has 2(as do all H81 boards). Keep in mind, you'll want to ask whoever you buy the motherboard from to update it to the latest BIOS so that it is 100% compatible with the 4150. Gold rated PSU and a better case(Core 1000 is still great tho, especially for it's price). 8GB RAM is more than enough for gaming and most tasks. More would be useful for heavy editing/rendering but if that ever interests you, it's not too expensive to swap out your 8GB kit for a 16GB kit. There is no HDD for mass storage but you have an SSD for your OS and a few games. You'll want to add an HDD asap though.
