Well the disk is blank, but why would it not be rewritable? I can't even burn the ISO onto the disk.

Install on a USB if possible, use Universal USB installer. It is very easy.

But have you tried another disc?

I have tried multiple disks, formatting them and everything. When I install it on a USB either my laptop wont boot from USB or something is wrong because it never shows up under USB, only FDD.

Just format the USB to FAT32 using the Windows format and then create the USB with Universal USB Insataller.

From there plug your USB into the laptop and click F12/F9 or whatever bring up boot options and click USB.

If you do not have that option then it is disabled in BIOS or you are trying to use a USB 2.0 in a 3.0 socket.

Then you're done.
