Well when you go to rob somebody, you have to check if anybody is home( knock on door or ring door bell ) then if there not home "PROCEED".

I'd probably wait behind the door or near it keep watching and once they got in or whatever take them by suprise with a weapon depending if it was a group or not though if it was just one that's what I would do cause if it was a group I'd get the beating and I'm guessing they would all have some sort of weapon on them too if it's at night.

There's not much to do. It's most likely just some kids playing a prank. I would keep a weapon close to me just in case, but it's probably nothing more than a prank.
