As long as it's compatible with the motherboard, it's fine. Brand, speeds, latency, etc make minimal difference, if any.

Wrong. If op were rendering videos the 3200 would be way faster than the 1866 .

His motherboard would need to be 2011-3 to support DDR4 not DDR3 it's not all about speed latency is just as important but please don't recommend shit when you don't know shit.

RAM is RAM is RAM, honestly go with 1600 MHZ because it is cheap and is the industry standard. Any RAM you get is fine, for the most part. Don't shell out huge amounts of money for RAM such as the corsair dominator platinum line unless you are building your computer for show and planning on OCing your ram. I personally just use corsair vengance 1600MHZ and have 16 GBS in my computer, it works beautiful.
