There is no politics section, This is the only place i could post this.
''David Cameron is to move fast to capitalise on his general election victory by introducing key elements in the Tory manifesto for an EU referendum and the scrapping of the Human Rights Act that will be overseen by Michael Gove.''
''In his conference speech Prime Minister David Cameron said he wanted to end the UKs relationship with the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and scrap the 1998 Human Rights Act replacing it with a British Bill of Rights.''
This surely cant happen?

News Flash: It would.
News Flash 2: The bill is being replaced with one with effectively the same rules, however we would not have to involve the EU with every human rights case, where if the UK is seen to be at fault we can be fined by the EU. Take Abu Hamza, the entire decade-long debacle was because of the EU referral process.

I will have to agree with this, they can't just scrap those existing rights, THEY ARE RIGHTS!

They're only replacing an old bill with a new one.
No need to make a fuss until details on this "British Bill of Rights" are released. :p

In 2007 the Labour party also proposed that a Bill of Rights be instituted.
This has been under serious consideration for some time now, and it isn't as crazy as it sounds.
