I'm sorry but I honestly hate when people complain about school and how they apparently know everything that they just could go out in the real world and be okay, without being educated properly. Or either they're so lazy to not even try to move their hands, and fingers to jot down some useful information.

For example: "Homework is a waste of time". No it's not, it might be a waste of time if you're just getting someone else to do it for you, or you could care less on what the teacher just taught. Or another example: "School is pointless". If it wasn't for school you probably wouldn't even know how to spell in the first place, school can help get you a job, and gets you educated and prepared for some real world opportunities.

And if you hate school, then you're honestly going to hate the real world kiddo. You're constantly being taught new things, and having to apply them in order to move forward, or succeed.

School is needed but some of the stuff they teach is never needed. Like learning Algebra, spreadsheets, excel. Some of the stuff they teach us can be a waste of time -_-

Never prepared us to pay taxes

Chelsea_FC_ wrote I disagree with this just a little, i agree with the main point of school is important, however in no way does school prepare you for the real world! I don't remember the lesson on paying taxes. Or the lesson on writing a CV though i remember the lesson on how to use excel!

School doesn't teach you how to pay taxes because knowing how to do your taxes isn't helpful in creating a worker. If you're that troubled on that specific topic than you need to do some research. I learned how to write a CV back in school, it's not that hard.

Im not saying i dont... Im saying school doesnt prepare you for the real world since when do i use Pythagoros theorm in the real world? When do i analyse a poem and talk about how the stanzas represent the speaker in the real world?

They're giving you a variety of options, for example I remember someone was saying Algebra was useless. Little did they know some high paying jobs require knowledge of Algebra as well as basic daily skills you need to know in order to save money, same with the Pythagoros Theorem, it's used in daily activities such as purchasing and measuring . And if you ever become a poet, or a English teacher, then there you go.

ImNotJoeking wrote I got kicked out of school, honestly it came to a point where I was spending more time being told off than learning.

Than that's your own fault, not their fault.

What are you talking about? I didn't get staff to remove anything (Go head and ask them to verify it). They removed their own posts. No need to come off saying I'm immature on something you don't know entirely of.

I can understand how people can say that homework is a waste of time because teachers SOMETIMES give out homework just keep the students busy.
But besides that I completely agree.
