I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S3 a while ago and was screwing
around with freedom to try and get paid in app purchases for free.
Yes, I know it was my fault and shouldn't of been doing it, but I've
literally tried everything I've been told to do on YouTube videos.
I've tried clearing cache, reinstalling the play store, and even factory
resetting my phone. Still not working. Was wondering if anybody knows
any way to fix it or have had the same problem with their rooted samsung
devices. Thanks for reading and hope you guys can come up with a resolution!

I had this problem on a root Sony xperia l but it should work on Samsung devices
Use root browser to go into the hosts file in the etc folder on the root of the internal memory.
Where it says android.clients.google.com after an ip address, add a hashtag before the ip, save with root browser. It will ask for su permission. Save it. Stop the play store completely and open it again. It should now work.
Sorry if that was a bit hard to follow, I've literally just woke up.
Every now and then you ill have to do this again for some reason
