Hey everyone. I was watching a show this morning about a pea sprout growing in a persons lung, and then later in the show they started talking about a man in Russia who had a TREE grow in his lung! Here is the image of it:

Apparently he aspirated (instead of the seed going down the esophagus, it went down the trachea, or windpipe) the seed to the tree, and it imbedded itself in the lung tissue and thrived. The doctors thought this mass was a cancerous mass, but apparently not.

The lung had collapsed, they had to remove the lung as a whole, but the man lived,

Some botanists say that it is not possible for a plant to grow in a lung without light, but the lung is moist and warm, and some plants (for example, mushrooms and some species of lettuce) do not require light to grow.
