It really annoys me, when people complain about not receiving any good/enough presents, for either christmas or their birthday. Could be worse, you could have received no presents at all and have no celebration.
Pretty short rant, just wanted to get it off my chest.

We all have a bit of greed in us. I'm sure you'd be disappointed a tad bit if you didn't get something you asked for, and instead got a pair of underwear.

Either way, we have to control ourselves to be respectful and appreciative that at-least we have a roof over our heads, water to drink, and food to eat.

Sure some fancy electronics would be nice, but they're not needed.

I can see why you'd be annoyed, and yeah it can be annoying if you are the person who gave the gift and they were disappointed about the gift you gave.

Yeah, if you're disappointed about it, you don't have to be a dick about it.

I think there's a difference between being disappointed by not receiving any gifts and being sad about not getting any.

In modern society it is normal, and expected, that people give and get gifts on birthdays and Christmas.
I wouldn't blame someone for thinking, 'Why didn't I get any gifts?' on the inside, because that would be a genuine question for someone to ask themselves.
But when they change that to, 'Omg my gifts this year sucked #screwmyfamily' on social media, I understand your point.

I have to agree here. Personally, I think that you should care more about being a year older and hopefully a year wiser as well as wanting to spend that oh so important quality time with family instead of worrying what stuff you COULD have gotten.

I must say I totally agree with your rant.

Like you should just be happy enough that you got something.
