I've looked online and on the Xbox website but I am still unsure as I've seen different answers in different articles, and on the Xbox website it says "more details to follow"
Can someone provide me a concrete answer on whether or not you have to pay to use pre owned discs, and if so how much do you have to pay?
EDIT: Don't have an Xbox One yet, looking into buying one
Can you install a friends disc, so you have the game installed to your hard drive, then use a separate disc to play the game on?
Can you buy pre owned games online(e.g Amazon) and use that?

I think you need to clarify what you're saying.
if you're saying you go buy a pre-owned game from gamestop and want to play it, no you just have to buy the game.

Yes to both, lets say you buy a preowned game and its scratched and you cant download it, you can download the game from a friends disc onto your hard drive and then use the scratched disc to load the game so it plays off the hard drive.

Yes, you can do both.
They were discussing not being able to do pre-owned games and such at the beginning of the Xbox One's release, but that was scratched because of the backlash that came with it.
