Start by upgrading your gpu, idk what your budget is. Then upgrade your motherboard and cpu to a i5 4460 and a h97 mobo.

psu is okay, case is okay, i had both.

What I don't understand is why you want an iseries. The only difference is you can overclock and they have integrated graphics, which apparently you need neither of. Not to mention they perform better per price point then any iseries proccessor will because they don't have integrated graphics and you can't overclock. If you can infact get a xeon for free, than do that and spend the rest of your money on a new GPU.

If you actually want to overclock get the K version.

Except the i5 will perform worse in editing/rendering than the Xeon, the Xeon is not a "server CPU" lel. If you wanna go ahead and steal one, that's up to you.

Yeah I agree 100%, but the dude said he wanted an i series and refused to get a xeon, so I gave him an i5.
