Hey everyone, I need help. So what is happening is that my PC is performing very badly for it's specs and the type of performance that i used to get.
My Specs: CPU:i5 4460 3.20 GHz
RAM: 4GB
GPU: R7 265
I play games like Counter Strike, Arma, etc. On CS i got around 250-300 FPS.( Keep in mind this is before I took all of my PC parts out) In Arma 2 45-60, Arma 3 25-50. I was fine with all of these Frames.
I decided to clean the inside of my PC. I flipped the switch off and unplugged it. I took everything out of the case. When I was reassembling all of the components I looked at the CPU socket of the Mobo and a pin was bent just a tad bit. So me being me, decided to get a magnifying glass and got a closer look at it, I bent it upward so it would atleast come in contact with the CPU. I thought everything would befine after that.Finally reassembled everything. Started the computer up, but it only stayed on for about 5-10 seconds. I was worried. So then after that I messed with the pin a little bit more. I know i probably shouldn't have but, i didn't know what else to do. I bent it up a ways, then I turned the PC on again hoping for the best. Stayed on for a bit longer then turned off. I then figured out that it might be the hard drive isn't booting windows correctly, so i disconnected the hard drive and plugged in a usb that had windows 8.1 on it. It then loaded up perfectly didn't randomly turn off at all. I kept the usb in and plugged the hard drive back in. It booted up fine. Then i went to play CS and noticed I was getting 25-30 FPS max. Thought it was the GPU and I just disconnect that and tested CS with just the CPU, i got worse performance. So i knew it wasn't the GPU. So now i am stuck, i don't want to go to a computer repair place just yet. So I am asking you guys. Do you think it is the Motherboard or the CPU?
I know this post was EXTREMELY long, but i didn't know where else to go.
